Has anyone ever pitched you a good idea and now you have to figure out how to make it work? It sounds easy enough, yet putting forth your best effort accomplishing it is often anything but. When you start something new, you never know how it will turn out. Several years ago, many people encouraged us to start a podcast. They said what we teach at one-night meetings, parenting conferences, seminars, workshops, online classes and through the Mom’s Notes was good information, but we could reach a lot more families through podcasts than through just writing weekly blogs and social media.
We explored the idea and in the middle of Covid in 2020, we launched our first episode. Now, 5 years later, we just taped our 115th episode, but the most exciting news is our “Parenting Made Practical” podcasts are listened to in over 75 countries!!
We thank God for the encouragement people gave us to go in this direction and for the wisdom He gives us to present practical Biblical principals in parenting that impact so many people’s lives.

This allows my husband and I to easily digest the information and implement it immediately or gradually work on it without feeling overwhelmed. Once a year in our weekly email blogs, we let you know that the outreach of Parenting Made Practical is our full-time ministry. While writing blogs and podcasts may not seem like a full-time job, we are also available to travel and speak at parenting conferences and seminars or live-stream our teaching. But it seems more and more that our time, especially mine (Joey’s) is taken with counseling appointments. Once a year we request your financial support to continue helping encourage, equip, and empower parents to raise obedient, respectful, and responsible kids from a biblical foundation.
